If either of these situations describes you The Wyke Green Academy can help you with two fantastic packages to suit your needs. Wyke Green is a very friendly and welcoming club and is extremely well located in West London. The golf course will offer a good challenge to all levels of golfer and has good practice facilities on which to learn.

At Wyke Green we believe that no matter what stage of life you are at you can take up the great game of golf. The Wyke Green Golf Academy will enable you to learn the fundamental skills required to take up the game or refresh the skills you already have. Our overall goals are to encourage people to start playing golf, achieve a handicap, become a member of our club and most importantly enjoy your time playing golf.

Meet the Coach

Tim Owers is the Head PGA Professional at Wyke Green. Tim has a vast knowledge of all areas of the game including coaching men, ladies, juniors and groups.

Programme One – Beginners

This programme is designed for absolute beginners or anyone who has had an attempt at golf in the past and wants to go back to the basics and start again.

The one year beginner’s programme offers the following benefits:

  • Welcome pack
  • Eight half hour lessons with the Professional
  • One on course lesson with the Professional
  • Use of the practice facilities
  • 10 rounds of Golf in at off peak times (Once you have reached a sufficient standard to play on the course)
  • A member of the club as a mentor
  • Option to gain a handicap

On completion of the one-year Beginner’s Programme, we would normally expect you to have grasped the fundamental skills required to play golf. If by this time you are not quite ready to obtain a handicap and become a member of the club you can move on to Program Two.

Programme Two – Intermediate

This programme is for players who have been playing and still have not acquired the skills necessary to gain a handicap, it is also perfect for people who have completed the our academy’s first programme.

The one year intermediate programme offers the following benefits:

  • Welcome pack
  • Eight half hour lessons with the Professional
  • One on course lesson with the Professional
  • Use of the practice facilities
  • 10 rounds of Golf at off peak times
  • A member of the club as a mentor
  • Option to gain a handicap

On completion of your one-year Intermediate Programme, you will normally expect to have a golf handicap and will be happy to go out on the golf course and play to your handicap. You will be ready to take on the challenges of full membership and regular competitive golf.

Bonus features of the programmes

Both academy programmes will offer you the additional benefits:

  • Loan of golf equipment, if required
  • Use of the clubhouse facilities, including a membership card offering 20% discount on most items
  • Discount on your first years full membership of £200
  • Using your playing privileges you may sign in guests at the reduced members rate
